"ARCHES"

The Telephone Box is a piece of history within itself slowly becoming forgotten by the emerging use of mobile phones. "Arches" revitalises the history of the telephone box through the representation of Giles Gilbert Scott and his ancestral legacy making "Arches" a piece of history within a piece of history.

"Arches" takes the form of gothic arches, inspired by the McManus Galleries in Dundee, the gothic revival building was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott's Grandfather. The Arches are carved in Oak wood typically used within gothic architecture for its strength and durability.

"Arches" consists of 4 arches that all change in width, height and orientation. Following a leave no trace principle "Arches" can be implemented into any gallery without leaving  a trace of it ever being there. The variation in arches helps to create a dominating structure representing the grand size of gothic structures.

Being within the K6 telephone box, the legacy of the Scott family can be expressed creating the complete homage to their work through the snall structure of the telephone box.
